BOWLING GREEN – Tate Spillman (Barren), Cade Button (Metcalfe), and Avery Morris (Allen) were just some of the local student-athletes selected as the Coaches Association unveiled their selections for the boys’ and girls’ fourth region basketball teams on Tuesday.
The 2023-24 fourth region teams are as follows:
– Boys 1st Team: Kade Unseld – Warren Central (Player of the Year), MJ Wardlow – Bowling Green, Mason Ritter – Bowling Green, Jamison Glass – Todd Co. Central, and Elijah Starks – Warren Central.
– Boys 2nd Team: Kaleb Prince – Warren East, Tate Spillman – Barren County, Deuce Bailey – Bowling Green, Ray Harwood – Cumberland Co., and Drew Hudson – South Warren.
– Boys 3rd Team: Nick Simpson – Greenwood, Cade Button – Metcalfe Co., Cannon Young – Clinton Co., Drevin Bratton – Warren Central, and Mayes Gosser – Russell Co.
– Girls 1st Team: LaReesha Cawthorn – Franklin Simpson (Player of the Year), Abby Varney – Barren Co., Leia Trinh – Greenwood, Avery Morris – Allen County Scottsville, and McClaine Hudson – South Warren.
– Girls 2nd Team: Landree Moons – Clinton Co., Katy Smiley – Bowling Green, Alexis Taylor – Todd Co. Central, Kassady London – Metcalfe Co., and Sam Carver – Warren East.
– Girls 3rd Team: Kloie Smith – Franklin Simpson, Madi Cooksey – Cumberland Co., RaeEllen Jones – Warren East, Sarah Thompson – Monroe Co., and Madison Lawson – Warren East.
All awards will be presented in between games of the regional semi-finals at Western Kentucky University’s E.A. Diddle Arena on Thursday, March 7th (Girls) and Monday, March 11 (Boys).
