(Glasgow, KY) A local dentist has been named to one of south central Kentucky’s most deep-rooted bank’s board of directors. In a press release Tuesday, South Central Bank announced Dr. Matthew Riley as the newest member of the board.
“Matthew is passionate about our community and that is a quality we certainly respect,” said Tommy Ross, President & CEO. “His business expertise and leadership will greatly benefit South Central Bank and our customers.”
Dr. Matthew Riley grew up in Glasgow, Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2012, Dr. Riley obtained his doctorate at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2016. He has also graduated from the New York City Maxicourse where he obtained over 300 hours in comprehensive dental implant training. He completed his studies in Portland, Oregon becoming certified in IV Conscious Sedation. In addition to his practice at Riley Dental Group, most recently he was named to the Board of the Kentucky Academy of General Dentistry, where he serves as the Director of Membership.
WCLU News spoke to Dr. Riley about what an honor is to serve in this new capacity.
According to the press release, when asked about his joining the Board of Directors, Dr. Riley responded “South Central Bank has been my banking home since opening my first checking account at 10 years of age. They have continued to be there for my family with our first home and business. I consider them my banking family and look forward to being a part of their team.”
Dr. Riley and his wife, Jen, have two sons: Bryant, and Rhett. They also have a dog named Bennett who frequents the office as a therapy dog, and another therapy-in-training dog named Henry. In his spare time, he likes to hike, hunt, and play golf.
