Gary Lee Lockhart, 66 of Smiths Grove passed peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Morgantown Nursing and Rehab.
Gary was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to his father Wallace Lockhart who has preceded him in death and his mother Clarine Richey Lockhart who survives. Gary was a farmer and he attended Shiloh General Baptist Church. He was also a caregiver for his parents. Gary was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Margaret Lockhart; one niece, Raven Durbin; three great nephews, Zackary, Dylan and Jaxon Payne; on great niece, Cheyanne Payne;
His survivors include his mother, Clarine Lockhart; two brothers, Dale Lockhart and Scotty Lockhart (Ginny); one niece, Pam Lockhart; five nephews, Michael and Tim Lockhart, Mason, Jaren and Hayden Durbin; one great niece, Rylee Rodgers.
The funeral service for Gary will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in Shiloh Church Cemetery. The visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
