On April 10th, 2024, Jose Gonzales of Munfordville, KY was operating a 2017 Ford Fusion in the area of the 67 mile marker of northbound I-65.
Gonzales’ vehicle left the roadway and struck the inside barrier wall, before travelling across all three lanes of traffic. Gonzales vehicle was then struck by a 2024 International commercial vehicle, operated by Shawn Wentworth of Mt. Washington, KY.
Jose Gonzales was transported from the scene by Hart County EMS to University of Louisville Hospital with unknown injuries. The northbound side of Interstate 65 was closed for several hours, but is reopened at this time.
This investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Kentucky State Police.
