Patty Richards Ramsey, age 65 of Chalybeate, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her residence. The Grayson County native was born on April 15, 1959 to the late Doris and Charles Edward Richards, Sr. She was married to her devoted husband and help mate of forty years, Mike Ramsey, who survives.
Patty worked as a registered nurse at Twin Lakes Regional Hospital for many years, until her health began to fail. She was a member of Chalybeate United Baptist Church.
The Lord blessed Patty with many gifts. She enjoyed playing the bass guitar and piano, making jewelry, crocheting and floral design. He also blessed others through her Godly gifts. She had the voice of an angel. At an early age, Patty and her family would travel to different churches and bless their congregations with their heavenly, spiritual voices.
Besides her husband, Mike, she leaves to honor her memory— her children, Nick Ramsey (Natalie) of Leitchfield, Jessica Doyle (Shane) of Chalybeate and John Mike Ramsey (Stephanie) of Coxs Creek; grandchildren, Audrey Ramsey, Preston and Marian Doyle, Lily Johnson (Tanner), Joey, Freddie, Wendy, Willie and Rosie Ramsey; siblings, Debbie Williams (Bro. Cecil), Charlene Richards, Charles Richards, Jr. (Carolyn), Tommy Richards (Elizabeth), Mike Richards (Renee) and Steve Richards (Tina), along with several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Darlene Richards.
Interment will be in Kinser Cemetery with Bro. Richard Minton, Bro. Cecil Williams and Bro. Garry Watkins officiating.
