Mrs. Anita Lou “E.O.” (Rich) Campbell of Albany, Kentucky, passed away at The Medical Center at Albany, Friday, May 17, 2024 having attained the age of 64 years, 7 month, and 26 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Monday, September 21, 1959, the daughter of Jessie and Janice (Rigney) Rich. She was of the Pentecostal faith, she was a member of the Lakeview Full Gospel Church, worked as a nurse’s aide for Albany Medical Center for 17 years, Anita enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, watching T.V., and people watching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Campbell, whom she wed on February 14, 1983, brother-in-law, Ricky Groce, and nephew, Larry “Red” Wallace.
She is survived by her siblings, Debbie (& Gary) Wallace, Sue Gibson, Jimmy (& Amanda) Rich, mother-in-law, Janice (McWhorter) Campbell, brother-in-law, Sherman Campbell all of Albany, nieces & nephews, Gary R. Wallace, Anita Jones, Amanda (Wallace) Acrey, Jessica Gibson, Julianna Gibson, J.R. Rich, Emma Rich, special great-nieces, Brooklyn Jones, Alexis Jones, several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great-nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Scott Jones & Bro. Gary Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 20, 2024 after 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky.
