GLASGOW, KY – 50 years ago, the very first ever class to graduate from the newly consolidated Barren County High School attended their commencement. The class of 1974 is celebrating in a big way this Friday at The Grove behind Ralphie’s Fun Center in Glasgow with a live band featuring 70s music starting at 7:00 pm, and the gathering beginning at around 6:30 pm. Brenda Leftwich, Barren County Class of 74, has helped organize the event for this Friday Night. She spoke with Wes Royse of WCLU News on the significance of that year, reflecting on 50 years ago and looking at the evolvement of the Barren County school district.
There will be a minimal fee for entry to help cover costs of the event, celebrating 50 years of Barren County High School.
