Park City sees three ribbon cutting ceremonies in one day

Jun 20, 2024 | 6:00 AM
The community of Park City is abuzz with excitement as it prepares for a day filled with celebrations.
Thursday, June 20, will see the grand openings and ribbon cuttings for three new attractions, each bringing unique benefits to the local residents and visitors alike.
Tourism commissioner, Mike Burgess, took WCLU through the day’s plans.
The festivities kick off at noon with the grand opening of CF Sales & Service, located at 24790 Louisville Road. CF Sales & Service, known for being a local Grasshopper dealer, offers routine maintenance and repair services for outdoor power equipment. The ribbon cutting ceremony will mark the official opening of this new business, which promises to enhance the community’s access to high-quality outdoor equipment and services. Residents are encouraged to attend and show their support for this local enterprise.
Following this, at 1:00 PM, the unveiling of ‘Ole Lewis and his friends Joe & Ronnie will take place at the corner of South Underwood by First Street. This new bike station, made possible by the Caveland Enviromental Authority (CEA), is set to become an ideal stop for anyone traversing the bike trail.
‘Ole Lewis, a train engine repurposed as a bike rack, adds a whimsical and functional touch to the area.
Additionally, benches named after Ronnie Stinson and Joe Bailey will provide a cozy spot for rest and reflection. This creative project not only celebrates local history but also encourages a more bike-friendly community.
The day’s celebrations will conclude with the ribbon cutting for the Park City Bark Park at 2:00 PM on Gossum Street, located across from the elementary school on the former little league ball field.
Angela Briggs, local code enforcement officer, spoke to the dedication of the commissioners to the Park City community.
The Park City Bark Park promises to be a delightful addition for the city’s canine companions and their owners, offering a dedicated space where every dog can have its day. This new park is anticipated to become a beloved spot for dog lovers, fostering a stronger sense of community and providing a safe area for pets to play and socialize.
With these three significant openings, Park City continues to demonstrate its commitment to growth and community enrichment. Each event tomorrow impacts a different aspect of community life – from local business support and recreational infrastructure to pet-friendly amenities.
Burgess ended his comments optimistically, pointing to the economic growth in the small town doing big things.
