Kentucky State Police Compete for Title in Best Looking Cruiser Contest

By Mark Buckles Jul 17, 2024 | 8:38 AM

The American Association of State Troopers (AAST) has officially launched its 11th annual “America’s Best-Looking Cruiser” Calendar Contest, and the Kentucky State Police (KSP) are in the running with a striking entry.

This year’s contest promises fierce competition as state police departments across the country vie for a coveted spot on the 2025 AAST wall calendar.

KSP’s entry features their 2024 Ford Mustang GT, photographed in front of the iconic Secretariat Statue at Alexandria Drive and Old Frankfort Pike in Lexington.

This image not only showcases the sleek design of the Mustang but also pays homage to Kentucky’s rich horse racing heritage and the legacy of the legendary racehorse, Secretariat.

The contest began recently, and voting is now open until July 29th, at 12:00 p.m.

KSP is encouraging supporters to cast their votes and help bring the title of “Best Looking Cruiser” back to the Bluegrass State.

Votes can be submitted via multiple devices, including computers, smartphones, and tablets, by visiting this link.

Participation in the contest is simple and inclusive, allowing one vote per device per person. The top 13 cruisers with the highest number of votes will earn a spot in the AAST’s 2025 calendar, with the top cruiser being featured on the cover. This competition not only highlights the aesthetic appeal of the state police vehicles but also fosters community engagement and support for local law enforcement.

The AAST has expressed enthusiasm for this year’s contest, inviting participants to share the voting link with friends and family to maximize their state’s chances.

“Please share with your friends and family and have fun! Remember, only one vote per device per person,” stated the AAST in their announcement.

KSP is leveraging social media to promote their entry and rally support. As the contest progresses, KSP will continue to update their followers and encourage votes through their official social media channels.

The competition is not only about winning but also about showcasing the pride and professionalism of the state police force.
