It is with heavy hearts that the Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS Department announced the untimely passing of Sergeant Christian Smith. Sgt. Smith, 35, tragically drowned while swimming at Barren River Lake on Monday, July 29th. He had been a dedicated member of the department since 2014.
