On Saturday, August 3, 2024, at approximately 2227 hours,members of the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office and the Barren River Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant on residence on Pleasant Grove Church Road in Metcalfe County in reference to a drug trafficking investigation.
The search resulted in locating several pounds of processed marijuana in various forms located throughout the residence, along with several items of drug paraphernalia. The search also resulted in recovering a large amount of US currency, as well as one motor vehicle that was marked as if it were a law enforcement vehicle. The vehicle had been utilized to transport the illegal drugs.
As a result of the investigation, Kevin W. Kelley was placed under arrest and lodged in the Barren County Jail on the following charges:
