A Scottsville man is facing multiple charges following a weekend incident. Scottsville Police responded to a call on Sunday morning at 11:04 a.m. for a non-injury wreck on ESB Drive.
Upon arrival, officers identified the driver as 21-year-old James G. Martin of Scottsville, who had a juvenile passenger in the vehicle.
During their investigation, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from Martin’s vehicle. After obtaining consent to search the car, police reportedly found several items consistent with drug trafficking. Martin admitted to smoking marijuana before the accident.
Following field sobriety tests, Martin was arrested and taken to the Allen County Detention Center.
He now faces multiple charges, including operating a vehicle under the influence, trafficking in marijuana, and second-degree wanton endangerment.
