Update: Law enforcement agencies were able to quickly coordinate efforts that led to the sighting of a suspect, resulting in a pursuit initiated by Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Deputies. The chase extended into Christian County, where the suspect was eventually cornered near Judges Chapel off KY Highway 189/N Greenville Road.
Multiple units from various agencies, including the Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), and the Kentucky State Police (KSP), have responded to the scene. Officers are now attempting to communicate with the suspected shooter via a PA system in an effort to encourage a peaceful surrender.

Chris Denham with the Elizabethtown Police Department has reported the department is working a triple shooting scene in the vicinity of the Hardin Judicial Center.
Police said this was a targeted shooting. Multiple agencies are searching for the active shooter, who have they have o believe is outside of Hardin County.
Reports of shots fired came in around 9 a.m. EST, in the parking lot across from the judicial center on Dixie Avenue.

Hardin County and Elizabethtown schools are reporting lockdowns at this time. At this time they have not released the names of any persons involved.
