WCLU News Brief

Mammoth Cave National Park has announced a temporary electric power outage to the main hotel building tomorrow, August 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

“Impacts will be to visitors using the main hotel building’s food operations at Lantern Café, Green River Grill, and Maple Springs Coffee and Gifts, and retail shops. The park visitor center, cave tours, campground, and camp store will not be affected, but the Old Guides Trail along with portions of the Heritage Trail next to the hotel will be closed,” said a press release.

The temporary power outage is required for Kentucky Utilities to relocate a power line that stretches over the Family Cabin construction site. You can learn more about the Family Cabin project at: https://ow.ly/A45a50T2xGU
