Wednesday morning Kentuckians gathered for the 60th Annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Ham Breakfast at the state fair, where Glasgow native Kelly Craft and her husband, Joe, were winning bidders for an 18.2 lb. ham.
The hefty ham was produced by Broadbent B&B in Kuttawa, and made history as the highest bid on ham in the Bluegrass’s history, brining an impressive $10.5 million. The previous high bid was $10 million, and according to KFB the ham breakfast has raised a little over $44 million dollars.
The Crafts plan to donate their winning bid to Boys and Girls Clubs across Kentucky as well as other causes and charities.
