Yesterday, efforts to recover the body of a male drowning victim ceased ‘til morning. This morning efforts resumed, and authorities have confirmed that they recovered a body from Barren River Lake, and that it is that of Glasgow man, Michael Aurand.
Barren County coroner, Tim Gibson says an autopsy will be conducted.
The agencies that participated in the recovery are the Glasgow Barren County Emergency Management team, Kentucky Fish & Wildlife, the Army Corps of Engineers, the Barren County Rescue Squad, Austin Tracy volunteer fire department, Allen County Sheriffs units, KSP, the Allen County Rescue Squad, the Hart County Rescue Squad, and emergency personnel from the tri-county region.
