Ruth Ann Raines Carlo age 85 of Bowling Green, passed away on Monday at 6:05 am at the Signature Health Care of Bowling Green. She was born in Simpson County, Kentucky to the late James Oscar and Charlene Marie Galloway Raines. She is the widow of William F. Carlo. She is also preceded in death by Grandson, James Greer, niece, Kami Ramsey. She was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. She was an office clerk at FMC, and a switch board operator for South Central Bell. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her animals.
Ruth was survived by her daughters, Lajuana Carlo (James) and Lavonda Lynn Grogan (Gilbert) both of Bowling Green. Granddaughter,s Brittany Haynes and Joni Copsy both of Bowling Green, and grandson, Chad Church (April) of Elizabeth City, N.C.15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. sisters, Elouise Gugel , Janice Harrison , and Alice Williams. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great great nephews and also cousins.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, with the funeral service starting at 1:00 pm Saturday all at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Burial will follow in the Old Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
