Jerry Reynolds

Jerry Austin Reynolds, age 81, passed away Sunday October 20, 2024 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky.

The Polk County Mo., native was the son of the late Ray Jerry Reynolds and Zelda Lightfoot Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gwinneth Payne and Dorothy Meece.

Jerry was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Rolla, where he received a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, he worked as a general contractor and builder. Jerry was an author, a musician, song writer, teacher, a Missionary and supporter of Missionaries, a theologian, and served as minister of the following congregations, Jerico Springs MBC, Sentinel MBC, and Freedom MBC all in Missouri, Old Time MBC in West Virginia, Sulfur Fork in Tennessee, and Unity MBC and Old Union MBC in Kentucky.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Reynolds, one son, Todd Reynolds (Rachel), one daughter, Stephanie Reynolds Decker (Todd), one sister, Willa Hood, one brother, Neil Reynolds (Donna), he was a loving Papa to four beloved grandchildren, Kailani, Nikolai, Mikhial Reynolds, and Greyer Helwig Decker, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Friday October 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel and Saturday October 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Old Union Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by burial in the church cemetery.
