Glasgow High School marching band members will travel to Louisville this Saturday, Oct. 26, to compete against 12 other bands in the KMBC semifinals after clinching fourth place at the quarterfinals on Oct. 19.
Originally, the 25-member GHS team traveled to Daviess County High School in Owensboro to compete against the bands in the west region of the 1A Class. The top six competitors in that region advanced to the semifinals. GHS will perform their routine around 9:45 a.m. afterwards, assuming the team scores well in the semifinals, will advance to the finals.
Glasgow High School Band Director Anthony Thompson said he hopes to bring home the state championship title and they have since quarterfinals slightly adjusted the routine.
