Ron Hadley, 93, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, November 1st, at his home.
Ron was born in Shelbyville, KY on December 10, 1930, a son of the late Opal and Henry Hadley.
Ron graduated high school in 1949. He worked in Research and Development for 32 years at Western Electric in Boggstown, IN. He owned a Mac Tool distributor route for 10 years. After moving back to Tompkinsville, he was a custodian at Monroe County High School for 13 years. He was a member of Oakland Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis, Indiana, #140, a member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners of Indiana. Ron enjoyed being outside and working in his yard and mowing. He was an IU fan and loved playing basketball in his younger years and watching college basketball. He was always dancing and singing with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed watching old westerns.
He married Margie Lee Crowe Hadley on July 15, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN. Margie preceded him in death on July 6, 2013.
Ron is survived by a daughter, Delinda Deckard, and husband, Bobby, of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren, Carrie McClendon and husband, Jonathan, Kyle Wagner, and wife Yadi, Caleb Deckard and Cade Deckard; two great granddaughters, Kelsey Gramlin and husband, Sean, and London McClendon, and one great-great granddaughter, Isabella Gramlin.
Other than his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Wagner; brothers, Ralph, Leo and Jimmy Hadley and sisters, Ruth and Jean Hadley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Bro. Gary Emberton will officiate the service.
Visitation is Sunday, 3-8 p.m., with Masonic Services being held at 7:00 p.m., and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to Hosparus Health of Barren River, Ebenezer Cemetery or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
