Rebecca Ann “Becky” Shaw, 70, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 5th, surrounded by her family at her home.
Becky was born in Tompkinsville, KY on December 30, 1953, a daughter of Jeanette (McPherson) Harlan and the late Eugene Thomas Harlan.
She graduated from Tompkinsville High School Class of 1972. She worked as a clerk at Lyon Lumber. Becky was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ. She enjoyed cheering on the UK wildcats, attending her grand kids sporting events, spending time with her family and attending church.
Becky married Calvin Shaw on August 26, 1978 at the home of John and Janice Harlan. Calvin preceded her in death on November 8, 2016.
Becky is survived by a son, Jonathan Shaw, and wife Jessica, a daughter, Gina Baldridge, and husband, Shawn, her mother, Jeanette Harlan, and three grandchildren, Kaden Netherton, Abigail Shaw and Keaton Shaw, all of Tompkinsville, KY.
Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Jean Page, and husband, Jersey Jo, and Brenda Sue Harlan, and a brother, Bobby Ray Harlan, and wife, Diane, all of Tompkinsville, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8th at Mt. Gilead Church of Christ. Burial to follow at Harlans Crossroad Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home and again on Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Becky’s memory may be made to Harlans Crossroad Cemetery.
