Vicki Lynn Smith

Vicki Lynn Smith, 75, of Alvaton, KY passed away Monday at her residence. She was a native of Bowling Green and was born April 22, 1949. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents Virgil Lee Higgs and Martha Ellen (Johnson) Higgs, sister Nola Mae Higgs and two brothers Ernest Higgs and his wife Judy and Bill Higgs and late brother-in-law Ray Elmore.

Vicki was a retired buyer for Fruit of the Loom and after retirement she was a volunteer at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course in Franklin, KY and was a member of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening, playing golf and fishing and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vicki also was an animal lover and especially loved her cats. She also was an expert Rook Player and she was very outgoing and loved all her friends.

Survivors are her husband George Smith, two daughters Dana Phelps and Jamie Newland. Also one sister Jeanette Elmore and four precious grandchildren Rodney Parker (Ashley), Brian Parker (Jay), Summer Sibalich (Zack) and Victoria Newland. Eight precious great-grandchildren Emerson, Xena, Zayda, Maddie, Ensley, Erik, Chloe and Ali. Also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday 10:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery II.
