Mrs. Rachel N. (Morales) Shields of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2024 at the Medical Center in Albany, Kentucky, having attained the age of 61, years, 3 months and 8 days. She was born on Tuesday, August 27, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Conzuelo Morales. She was of the Catholic faith, worked as an entrepreneur and loved making jewelry, crafting, gardening, and thrifting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Roger Darrell Shields, whom she wed on Monday, July 26, 1999, maternal grandparents, José & June (Williams) Morales, and uncles, Joseph Morales and Donny Morales.
She is survived by her children, Vanessa Compton of Glasgow, Kentucky, Loralee (& John Alex) Watson of Burkesville, Kentucky, Emily (& Colby) Huddleston of Burkesville, Analea (& Garrit) Manthei of Burkesville, Brian (& Cheyanne) Fauber of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Peter Fauber of Cave City, Kentucky, siblings, Arthur Garcia, Lidia Perez Morales, Frances Perez Morales, Suzan Perez, Blanca Perez, and Joe Gracia, grandchildren, Dylan (& Christy) Compton, Alyssa Bull (& Trey), Claire Bull (& Ethan Shelton), Mila Compton, John Marshall Watson, Jonah Maverick Watson, James Maddox Watson, Judah Matrix Watson, Joel Matthias Watson, Kaidyn Fauber, Jathan Riley, Makenzie Fauber, Makaylee Fauber, James Fauber, Brianna Fauber, Stella Rose Huddleston, and Augustus Frank Manthei, great-grandchildren, Ivory Lee, John Houston Mayhew, and Harper Lynn Marie Shelton, cousin, Patti (& Marty) Bolger, long time friends, Rebekah Fryer, Joeann Brewington, Phyllis Kirchner, and Julie Watson, many other family, friends and sweet pea.
The memorial service will held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. C.S.T. in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 beginning at 12:00 noon C.S.T. in The Memory Chapel until the memorial hour.
