Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today action from the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit resulted in the indictment of a Central Kentucky man on domestic violence charges.
Matthew Daniel, 30, of Liberty, was indicted by a Casey County Grand Jury on charges of Strangulation, Second Degree (Class D Felony) and Assault Fourth Degree, Domestic Violence (Class A Misdemeanor).
According to the indictment, on June 15, 2024, in Casey County, Daniel strangled and assaulted a woman, causing physical injury. Daniel will be arraigned January 13, 2025 in Casey County Circuit Court at 10 a.m.
The Liberty Police Department investigated the case. Deputy Executive Director of the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit Ramsey Dallam presented the case to the Grand Jury.
