Michael Thomas Hart

Michael Thomas Hart, of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of John Kafton and Patty Kafton of Green County, was born on Monday, April 15, 1968 in Silver Hill, North Carolina and departed this life on Friday, December 20, 2024 at his home. He was 56 years, eight months, and five days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, a farmer, and retired Veteran of the United States Navy.

Survived by his wife: Loretta Lynn Logsdon Hart of Greensburg, having united in marriage on September 27, 2024.

Other survivors include four sons: Nathan and Cassandra Rayburn of Greensburg, Joshua Philpot and Kayla Hartell of Greensburg, Daryl and Angel Rayburn of Hart County, Jerimiah Rayburn and Judy Robertson of Hart County; a daughter: Jennifer Philpot and Brandon Bailey of Hart County; 12 grandchildren; one sister: Jessie Mairer of North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Michael Thomas Hart will be conducted on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Walthall Cemetery in the Monroe Community with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard. Bro. Nathan Rayburn officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Friday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the family memorial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
