U.S. Representative Brett Guthrie was sworn in to serve Kentucky’s second congressional district in the 119th House of Representatives.

“I am humbled at the honor and privilege of continuing serving our Kentucky communities for the next two years in Congress,” Guthrie said in a released statement. “I look forward to continuing to serve our constituents and provide key constituent services for those in need of help with the federal government. I also look forward to bringing our shared voice and values to the halls of Congress throughout the next two years. As the incoming Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce I am committed to working with President Trump and Speaker Johnson to deliver on our America First agenda of restoring American energy dominance, protecting access to lifesaving treatments while lowering the cost of health care, and protecting our children online while ensuring America remains a leader in technological innovation.”

The Secretary of State reports Guthrie won reelection with 5,762 votes against Democratic opponent Hank Linderman, who garnered 1,917 votes.
