Georgie T. Carroll, age 81, of Hart County, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Shanti-Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow. He was a farmer his entire life, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Georgie was an avid UK Basketball fan. He also loved working in his garden, and watching Westerns.
He is preceded in death by his wife Georgia Carroll; his son, Andy Carroll; siblings; Arthur Carroll, Odie Carroll, Katherine Saunders, Overt Carroll, and Dean Puckett.
He is survived by five children, Beth Gerughty (Jeff), Christi Sanders (Elvis), Joey Carroll (Kelly), Nicole Keltner, Brandon Carroll (Rebecca); nine grandchildren, Brynn Shewmaker (Will), Hunter Carroll (Dymie), Alli Sanders (Andy), Georgia M. Keltner, Weston Carroll, Tristan Carroll, RayLee Carroll, Lyric Carroll, and Oaklyn Carroll; great-grandchildren, Landon Shewmaker, Cooper Shewmaker, Ty Carroll, and Sadie Sturgeon; siblings, Evelyn Miller, James Carroll, Charles Carroll, Zelma Self, Wayne Carroll, and Magaline Puckett; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Winn Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
