Mr. Michael Lawrence Puckett, age 82, of Park City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 14, 2025, at his home. Michael was born in Nashville, Tennessee on October 2, 1942, a son of the late John Hughie and Gladys Virginia (Hopkins) Puckett. He was a graduate of Rockvale High School, and attended Middle Tennessee State University, before going to work at Armstrong Ceiling and Tile Company, where he worked for over forty years. Michael was an Associate Pastor for eleven years, and Pastor for seven years at Open Bible Baptist Church in Readyville, Tennessee, and had become a member of Cave City Baptist Church in his recent years of living in Kentucky. He had a tough as nails exterior, with the heart and calmness of a lamb interior. He never met a stranger, and loved to make people laugh and smile. Michael and his wife loved to travel and had been full time RVers for the last thirteen years, having spent the last five years as Park Hosts at Diamond Caverns Campgrounds.
Michael is survived by his wife, Helen Iona (Watson) Puckett, of Park City, three stepchildren, Teddy Budell of Otay, Mexico, Troy Pedigo of Park City, and Richard Pedigo of Lascassas, Tennessee, seven step-grandchildren, twelve step-great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Jeff Pedigo, one granddaughter, Summer Pedigo, and his six siblings, Preston Puckett, Virginia Singleton, Donald Puckett, Kay Pitts, Elaine Modrall and Doug Puckett.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Cave City Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Bradley Creek Church Cemetery in Lascassas, Tennessee. Pastor Ryan Broers will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday morning after 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m.
