Robert (Rob) Scott Perry, 57, passed away in his home in the early hours of March 14th, 2025. Rob was born on November 21st, 1967 to Norman Paul Perry and the late Anna Lee (Adkins) Perry in Williamson, West Virginia. Rob lived with his family in Bowling Green, Kentucky for 17 years and created a home here that has been surrounded by care and community.
Rob was the loving and dedicated husband of Ridale Perry. They shared nearly 40 beautiful years together, attached at the hip through thick and thin. Rob was the dutiful and admirable father to his two children, Robi Breanne (26) and Elijah Scott (23).
Rob graduated with pride from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s degree in business. After graduation, Rob was a life-long member and loyal fan of the Thundering Herd. Rob worked for Rent-A-Center for over 30 years throughout his successful career, following this company across West Virginia and Kentucky. Rob was a well-respected leader, an innovative thinker, an asset to all his peers, and the life of every party.
Rob was reunited in death by his mother, Anna, and his brother, Greg, whom he has been given the gift of seeing again. Rob left his memory with his soulmate, Ridale; his children, Robi and Elijah; those he considered as his children, Macin Taylor and Austin Pollard; his father, Norman Paul; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Cathy; his mother-in-law, Brenda Barker; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter Jr. and Edna Barker; and a long line of people who were forever changed by his legacy.
Rob will be remembered as a good man, a caregiver, a loyal friend, a compassionate soul, and a free bird. His absence will be felt by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at J.C. Kirby & Son Lover’s Lane Chapel on Thursday, March 20th from 12pm to 2pm, with service to begin at 2pm. Burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens.
