Janet Leigh Burton, age 59 of Bowling Green, departed this life on Friday, March 14, 2025 at her residence. The Edmonson County native was born on April 15, 1965 to the late Chasteen “Doc” and Bertie Brooks Logsdon.
Janet was a journalist, where she delighted herself in the creative process of writing. She also loved immersing herself in the vibrant universes of video games, relishing the challenges and adventures they offered. When she wasn’t writing or gaming, Janet could be found curled up with a captivating fantasy novel or watching anime, where her imagination would soar alongside the colorful characters and intricate plots. She was a member of Union Light Missionary Baptist Church, a place where she found the most peace and solace.
She leaves to honor her memory— her sons, Matt Pate (fiancée Ashlyn) of Charlotte, NC and Alex Burton of Lewiston, ID; siblings, Zelda Foster (John Read) of Scottsville, Gary Logsdon (Amanda) of Brownsville, Sam Logsdon of Brownsville and Bobby Logsdon of Virginia, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Patricia Wilson and Bruce Logsdon.
