Julia Ann Duvall

Julia Ann Duvall, age 90, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (March 18, 2025) in Louisville, KY.

She was born on May 18, 1934, in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Floyd and Edith Hayes Poteet.

She worked in the housekeeping department at Mammoth Cave for 22 years.  She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, gardening and canning. She loved to play Word Search. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had been a member of Jesus Christ Holiness Church.

She is survived by her husband, Earnest Hack; two sons, Rondal and Roger Duvall; one daughter, Lavonda Large; three grandchildren, Jason Duvall, Stacey Large, and Tyler Carroll; two great-grandchildren, Jareese and Keon Reddick; one brother, Wendall Poteet; one sister, Carolyn Windstead; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Billie, and Bobby Poteet; and sisters, Naomi Vincent and Leona Snodgrass.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (March 22, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Irvin Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery in Sadler.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
