Audrey Neely

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Neely, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and a ray of sunshine for all who knew her. Audrey, 67 passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A Bowling Green resident for over 20 years, Audrey was known for her loving, caring and generous personality, and her deep love for her family and community.

Audrey was a passionate baker, learning the skill of cake decorating while employed in the bakery of Fort Eustis commissary. She continued baking for Western Kentucky University thru Aramark dining services. She enjoyed baking and decorating birthday cakes for friends and family. She had a lifelong passion for horses, owning them since she was 12. She eventually discovered miniature horses, and fulfilled her lifelong dream to be a part of the Pegasus Parade. Since moving to Bowling Green, she has attended numerous horse shows and enjoyed participating in many parades, her favorite being Christmas and Veteran’s Day parades. Audrey also had a passion for learning, and joined the Society for Lifelong Learning through Western Kentucky University.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 and half years, Gerald ‘Gerry’ Neely, Jr. Two sons; Daniel Neely and his wife, Heather, and Scott Neely and his wife, Erin. Grandchildren; Caroline Neely, Mason Neely, Jace Neely, and Colton Neely. Her mother Violet, 99, her sister Linda Komarck and her husband, Jeff, also survive, as well as a host of extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation in Audrey’s memory. Audrey’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
