Leon Gibson, 83 of Edmonton, KY passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at TJ Samson Hospital. He was born June 28, 1941, to the late William K. and Eula Mae Garmon Gibson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Paulette Gibson whom he is rejoicing with now in heaven, his siblings Albert Gibson, Lonzo Gibson, Lenice Gibson, Lonnie Gibson, Magdalene Phelps, Kathleen Savage, Christine Phelps and Irene Fields.
Leon was a member of Revenna Separate Baptist Church. He loved farming, trucking and family. Leons last year was one of his best years. He lived with his favorite girl whom he adored. Leon enjoyed kicking back in his recliner watching westerns, with a bottle of ski and a strawberry roll in his hand.
He is survived by his wife Pamela Tomblin Gibson of Edmonton, daughter Tammy (Michael) Dubree of Edmonton, his little companion Maggie Mae, sister Ruth Shive, four grandchildren Kimberly Harper (Shaun Craig) Steven (Courtney) Gilpin, Braxton Glass and Dakota Dubree, eight great grandchildren Chloe, Jessie, James, Kennedy, Jaxston, Alexis, Mason and Conner, sister-in-law Carolyn Devore, and his special caregiver Dee Grissom. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Leon Gibson will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Gibson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM Sunday and after 8:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
