For a second straight game, Barren County picked up a road win against a top team in the Fourth Region. This time 4-2 at Russell County, which is the defending Fourth Region baseball champion.
It was also the second straight game in which Sutton Hyde stepped on the mound and closed the door after his team got the lead in the top of the seventh.
Jaxon Vincent reached base after being hit by a pitch to start the top of the seventh. After an out, Sutton Hyde reached first on an error that allowed Vincent to advance to third.
Jordan Harris drove in both of them with a sacrifice fly to right field.
Along with Hyde, Matthew Estes, Landon Uhles, and Jacob Spence also saw time on the mound.
Skylar Potter led the Trojans with a pair of hits, while Harris drove in three runs.
