Gracie Carter Cocklin

Gracie Carter Cocklin, age 89 of Franklin, passed away March 21st, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, surrounded by her loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 30th, 2025 at 2pm at Crafton Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 from 3pm-8pm and on Sunday at 6am, until the funeral service at 2pm. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. A native of Allen County, Gracie was the daughter of the late Ellis and Pearlie Carter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands- Charles Allen Reece and Robert Cocklin; son- Eric Reece; daughter- Frances Cocklin; granddaughter- Skyler Cline; sister- Margaret Carter, as well as her brothers- Fletcher and Wayne Carter.

She couldn’t wait for spring so she could be out tending to the yard, flowers and fish pond that she loved so dearly. Gracie loved to spend time with her family, as well as the family she took in. She also loved to exercise with her friends at Jen’s Fitness Center. The past two years, she has walked the Chamber of Commerce’s Garden Spot 5K- breaking her own personal records both times. She previously worked at Lenk Co. and Houchens.

She is survived by her children- Charles Allen Reece of Franklin, David Reece (Jennifer) of Franklin and Caleb Sawicki (Taylor) of Tennessee; grandchildren- McKenzie Reece, Heather Reece, Dylon Reece, Dalton Reece, Zach Reece, Devin Reece, Draven Reece, Alexandra Baxter, Alyssa Reece and Jacob Webb; great grandchildren- Donte, Quinten, Kiley, Brylee, Michael, Carleigh, Chloe, Fallon, Carson, Colson and Carter.
