A submarine sandwich, or any items bought at Glasgow’s Jersey Mike’s, will help fill the T.J. Community Mission Foundation’s coffers.
Today, March 26, is a day of giving at the sandwich shop. One hundred percent of sales will go to help the philanthropic arm of T.J. Regional Health further its mission “of building healthier communities [throughout] southcentral Kentucky.”
In prior reporting, the nonprofit’s executive director Randy Burns said the money received today will be “unrestricted funds.”
“We can use [the funds] for any of the programs that we have whether it be Shanti Niketan [Hospice Home], the Community Medical Care program, or the Kit for Kids program,” Burns said. “Any and all programs we have as a foundation can be supported through the partnership with Jersey Mike’s.”
Co-owner of the Barren River Plaza Larry Glass wrote on social media that patronage can hep “make a positive” community impact.
“Today is the day!” Glass wrote. “100% of sales from Bowling Green and Glasgow [locations] will be donated to the T.J. Community Mission Foundation.”
