Mrs. Hannah Lou (Piercey) Pierce of Albany, Kentucky, passed away at the Medical Center in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, March 27, 2025, having attained the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 25 days. She was born in Albany, Kentucky on Wednesday, October 2, 1940, the daughter of Francis Earl and Clara Velma (Beaty) Piercey. Hannah was of the Methodist faith, a member of Smith’s Chapel, and she worked for a shirt factory. She was a member of the Eastern Star and her hobbies included mowing the yard, square dancing, sewing, and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Franklin Pierce, whom she wed in August of 1957, sister, Sonita McWhorter, and brother, Richard Piercey.
She is survived by her son, James Michael (& Susan) Pierce, siblings, Linda Stockton all of Albany, Kentucky, Phyllis Upchurch of Bardstown, Kentucky, Wanda (& Roger) Jones of Albany, Kentucky, Elbert “Bert” (& Nancy) Piercey of North Carolina, Connie (& Roger) Lovelace of Indianapolis, Indiana, Flonnie (& Clyde) Bertram of Somerset, Kentucky, grandchildren Casey Pierce, Amber (& Brooks) Ferguson, great-grandchildren, Micah Ferguson, and Macie Ferguson, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Rex Guffey officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2025, after 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. at the funeral home, until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
