No one was injured in a Dellwood apartment kitchen fire, according to the Glasgow Fire Department.

At roughly 8 p.m. on March 25 fire fighters responded to 210 Dellwood Drive, which is off South Green Street near Houchens IGA, and saw “light smoke coming from the front door” upon arrival. The fire started on the stove and appeared to be accidental, according to the fire department.

“The fire was quickly extinguished and no other areas of fire were observed,” the Glasgow Fire Department press release states. “Once the fire was out a fan was used to clear the heat and smoke from the apartment. Light to moderate fire and water damage occurred in the kitchen [with] light smoke damage through the rest of the apartment.”

The Glasgow Fire Department was assisted by Barren Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Police Department and were on scene for about one-and-a-half hours.
