David Edward Tooley, age 72 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at U of L Jewish Hospital. David was born on April 09,1952 at Old General Hospital in Louisville to the late Ray David Tooley and Isabelle Winfrey Holman Tooley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Judy G. Tooley, two brothers, Leslie Malcolm “L.M.” Tooley and Jerry Allen “Byrd” Tooley and one grandchild, Garnita Randolph. David attended school in Oldham County before beginning his career journey. Over the years, he worked in various industries, from construction to agriculture, However, he dedicated the majority of his professional life to B.R. Saddlebrook Farms, a job he loved deeply, largely because of his amazing boss, Ms. Betce, whom he always spoke highly of. David was an avid dog lover, especially fond of his beloved dog, Cowboy.
He was also a proud fan of the U of L Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. David had a deep love for motorcycles, but nothing compared to his passion for his truck. You could always hear him coming and spot the lights from a mile away. In addition to his love for vehicles, he was a huge fan of western shows and movies. A true life-of-the-party, David-affectionately called “Mott” by his wife and many others-was young at heart and free-spirited. He was always ready to lend a hand, dance, play golf, or toss a few corn hole bags with anyone up for fun. His kindness, laughter, and joy will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Two children, Rashidah A. Tooley and David R. Tooley both of Louisville, KY Three grandchildren- Germaine Randolph, Michelle Randolph(Kris) and Davion Colbert all of Louisville, KY
One brother Timmie L. Tooley of Louisville, KY
Eight great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral Service:
Saturday, April 05, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Coe Ridge Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Saturday, April 5th from 12:30 P.M. until time of services at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
