Flossie Carolyn Board

Ms. Flossie Carolyn Board, age 78, was born October 13, 1946 in Warren County Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Letha Mae Board. She departed this life, after a brief illness, on Saturday March 29, 2025  at the Greenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Carolyn professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Stoney Point Baptist Church. She attended High Street School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Carolyn integrated as a senior into North Warren High School in Smith’s Grove, Kentucky, and was a student in the 1964 graduating class.

As a devoted church member, Carolyn handled the Stoney Point Baptist Church Acknowledgements, Announcements, and Resolution readings. Carolyn was the Secretary of the Union District Association (UDA) Women’s Auxiliary Circle 1 organization. She also was a member of the Deliverer’s of Praise UDA choir. She was also a supporter of the UDA “Vision.”

Carolyn worked 10 years at Firestone Textiles, then 16 years with Eaton Corporation, and 15 years with Dana Corporation prior to retirement.

Carolyn leaves to mourn her passing, three brothers: Ronald C. “Fuzz” Board (Anita) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; Delbert Terry Board (Francine) of San Francisco, California; and Darryl Keith Board (Tori) of Mobile, Alabama.

She also leaves an uncle to mourn her passing, Amos Board (Eva) of Indianapolis, Indiana. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories two nephews and two nieces: Ronald Kenneth Board of Chicago, Illinois; Kirsten Darnelle Board, Jasmine Lasha Board, and London Monae Board all of Mobile, Alabama.

Carolyn also leaves to worship her precious memories, the following 1st cousins: Beverly Warren (Steve), Brenda Snorten, Donnie Walkup, and Adrian Board. She also leaves a host of 2nd, 3rd, 4th cousins, relatives, and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sherrita Carol Board.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Stoney Point Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel and Saturday 10 a.m.-1p.m. at the church.
