Hubert Mosby, age 78 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Hubert was born on August 27, 1946 in Cumberland County, KY to James Alfred Mosby and Rosie Garmon Mosby, where he lived until he joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Shortly after his return, Hubert moved to Louisville, KY where he built a thriving towing business, Mosby’s Wrecker Service, which he later sold and founded A & M Towing and Recovery where he was the owner/operator. Hubert also retired from General Electric.
When Hubert wasn’t working, he loved to spend time hunting and being on the farm. Marrowbone was always home and he became more himself when he crossed over the Cumberland County line. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Hubert knew that he was selfless, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Hubert leaves behind his longtime partner, Christina Maras(daughter Jayme), two sons Derek Mosby(Amy) of Georgetown, KY and Eric Mosby(Jamie) of Shepherdsville, KY five grandchildren Brendan Mosby, Nick Mosby, Tyler Mosby, Megan Mosby and Allison Mosby and one brother Ray Mosby(Mildred) of Marrowbone, KY
Hubert was preceded in death by his mother Rosie, father James, and siblings Kyle Mosby, Louise Cook, and Dennis Mosby.

Thursday, April 03, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Casey Fork Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Wednesday, April 02, 2025 from 5 P.M. till 9 P.M. and from 6 A.M. till service time on Thursday at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
