Kimberly Elizabeth Kennedy Raley

Apr 3, 2025 | 3:03 PM

Kimberly Elizabeth Kennedy Raley, 60, ascended into heaven on April 1, 2025 in eager anticipation of meeting Jesus. She faithfully served the Lord and others during her career as a Registered Nurse.  Her whistling, infectious laugh, bouncy walk, generous and nurturing nature, and free spirit will be missed every single day. Despite suffering from chronic illness, Kim persisted in her faith and encouraged others in the strength only found in the Lord. She poured unconditional love into her children and grandchildren, who affectionally called her Mamoo.  She leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, sacrifice, and perseverance. Our lives are fuller because we have known and been known and loved by Kim.

Kim is survived by three children, David Raley III, of Shepherdsville, Lacey Roof (Chris) of Leitchfield, and Kacie Williams (Braxton) of Clarkson.  She was a doting Mamoo to eleven grandchildren including David Raley IV, Dakota Raley, Mileia Raley, Jacob Bryson, Adalyn Raley, June Roof, Jude Roof, Stealth Williams, Roman Williams, Shepherd Williams, and London Williams. Kim is also survived by her siblings, Craig Cartwright (Gayle), Phyllis Elaine Cartwright, and Neil Kennedy Jr. (Shirley), brother-in-law Doug Raley (Donna), sister-in-law Teresa Crabtree (Michael) and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind several close Church and Nursing friends, whom she loved dearly and considered family.

Kim was proceeded in death by her parents, Neil Kennedy Sr. and Frances Coburn Kennedy, her son, Dustin Raley (infant), one unborn child, and her brothers, Phillip Anthony “Tony” Cartwright and Christopher Cartwright.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 16, 2025at the White Lantern Lake Venue in Leitchfield from 3:00-7:00 PM CST. All family and friends are welcome to attend to fellowship and share of Kim’s immeasurable impact on His Kingdom and their lives.
