Mr. Tony Sloan, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Putnam County, Tennessee having attained the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 8 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Sunday, January 24, 1937, the son of Bruce and Lola Gay (Ross) Sloan. He was of the Christian Faith, a member of Albany First Christian Disciples of Christ. He was the owner of Sunset Marina and Marina @ Rowena. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John A. Sloan, Bruce R. Sloan, and Ned T. Sloan.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Dyer Sloan (Bettye), whom he wed on Monday, June 10, 1963, nephew, Ned (& Denise) Sloan Jr., nieces, Vivian (& Greg) Sloan Talbott, and Vittoria (& Larry) Crosbie.
The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. in The Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Nevius officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Albany Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be left with Campbell-New Funeral Home to the following organizations St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital, Gospel Christian Academy of Albany, Kentucky, or Clinton County Community Foundation.
