Albert Christopher Wheeler, age 56, of Bowling Green passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky surrounded by family. Chris was born on March 6,1969 in Bowling Green to the late Monty Dale Thurston and Katherine Louise Norris. Chris was a professional window tinter of over 40 years and owner of Top Notch Tinting.
In his spare time, Chris was an avid hunter and arrow head collector. He was known as “Headhunter” across both Ham Radio and CB Radio platforms. Chris loved music and attending concerts and festivals. He loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed being on the road on his 1969 Triumph. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to shoot, drive a stick-shift, and how to get out of hand cuffs.
Along with his parents, Chris was proceeded in death by his adopted parents, Donnie and Doris Wheeler; his step-son, Robert Shultz; two brothers, Randy and Jason Thurston; a great-granddaughter, Ezra and his grandmother, Bertha D. Lockhart.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Penny Wheeler; a step-son, Rusty (Camillia) Shultz; a step-daughter, Alannah Bechtel; a sister, Tracy Miller; three brothers: Tim (Angie) Clark, Will Bumps, and Jon (Bonnilee) Thurston; Seven Grandchildren: Cameron, Hannah, Kynleigh, Pyper, Baylee, Roen, and Autumn; a great-grandson, Milo; his nieces and nephews: Samantha, Zach, Taylor, Allison, Payton, Tifany, Elizabeth, Phoenix, and Story; and his great nieces and nephews: Agnes Louise, Atlas, Brookelynn, Kennedy, Juliann, Lively, Thomas, Jru, and Carson.
Funeral Services will be held on April 12, 2025 at the Faith United Methodist Church at Noon. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until time of service with cremation to follow.
A celebration of life will be held at White Squirrel Brewery following the services. White Squirrel Brewery, 302 State Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101.
