John William Napier, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, KY.
Born in the Mt. Union community of Allen County, Kentucky, on April 13, 1940, he was the son of the late Olga Wilson Napier and Mary Bessie Howell Napier. He was preceded in death by his brother, Luther Napier. He was a proud member of Mt. Union Methodist Church, The Gideons International, Allen County Cattlemen’s Association, and a founding member of the South Allen Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Douglas Napier; his children, Doug Napier (Christy) and Jill Napier (Cary Calvert); his grandchildren, Samantha Napier Willoughby, Spencer Napier (Kaitlyn), Alex Newman, Nick Napier, Parker Stotts, and Kole Manning; and his great-grandchildren, Austin Calvert, Gracelynn Willoughby, Camden Napier, Maddix Slaughter, Ryland Gillock, Navi Willoughby, and Emery Napier. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Napier (Marietta), and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m.; and from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Union Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Union Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International or Mt. Union Methodist Church.
