Glasgow took control of its game at Union City, Tenn., with a 3-run third inning en route to a 6-1 win.
Braylen Caldwell doubled with one out to lead of the rally. Carter Hodges reached base with a single and drove in Caldwell. JP Pitcock entered to run for Hodges and he stole second during Josiah Driver’s at bat. Driver eventually drove in Pitcock with a single. Driver stole second and took third on a passed ball during Evan Templin’s at bat. Templin eventually hit a fly ball that was misplayed, which allowed him to reach safely and for Driver to score.
Glasgow added another run in the top of the sixth, and two more in the top of the seventh before Union City finally got on the board.
Driver went 3-for-4 at the plate. He scored a run and drove in a run. Hodges and Steven Garrett each posted two hits, while Hudson Gumm, Peyton Lemily and Braylen Caldwell each added a hit.
Hodges started on the mound and got the win. He allowed one hits and struck out five. Garett Shields closed the final two innings, allowed four hits and struck out one.
