Randy Claxton, 39, of Glasgow, was arrested on five drug- and vehicle-related charges after allegedly dropping a baggie of cocaine on the ground outside his vehicle, according to a Glasgow Police Department press release.
Glasgow police officers conducted a traffic stop on West Water Street stemming from a failure “to have the rear license plate illuminated” on Friday, April 5. While outside of his vehicle, officers found cocaine and “methamphetamine inside a cellophane wrapper,” the press release states.
Claxton was arrested and charged with failure to or improper signal, rear license plate not illuminated, first-degree possession of a control substance, first offense, for both cocaine and methamphetamine, and no brake lights.
He is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $2,500 cash bond. He has a court appearance set for April 9 at 9 a.m.
