Glasgow scored 15 runs on only nine hits, but also drew 11 walks in a win over Nicholas County in Florida.
Evan Templin and Hudson Gumm led at the plate with two hits each. Carter Hodges, Garett Shields, Trace England, Landon Martin and Braylen Caldwell each had a hit in the 15-0 win.
The Scotties led 4-0 headed into the top of the fourth inning. Caldwell lead off with a double. He stole third before Hodges drove him in with a single. Hodges stole second during Templin’s at bat, who drew a walk. Steven Garrett loaded the bases when he reached on an error.
Gumm drove in both Templin and Hodges with a double, and moved Garrett to third. Shields followed, drew a walk and reloaded the bases.
Bam Nolley was hit by a pitch, which scored Garrett. JP Pitcock entered to run for Nolley.
Martin drew a walk and scored Gumm to give Glasgow a 9-0 lead.
The Scotties added six more runs in the top of the fifth inning to secure the mercy-rule win.
Austin Parker, Thomas Glass and Cooper Hatton combined on the mound to allow only one hit, and to strike out 10.
