A 62-year-old Glasgow woman was arrested after a traffic stop on Myrtle Street on Tuesday, April 8.
Glasgow police officer Micah Janes stopped a vehicle on Myrtle Street for not having its rear license plate illuminated, according to a press release from Glasgow Police Department. He received consent to search the vehicle by Rita G. Webb, 62, of Glasgow and allegedly found a “plastic baggie” in a purse that contained methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Webb was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle with a rear license plate not illuminated, according to the press release.
Officer Janes made the arrest and Webb was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. She remained there Wednesday afternoon with a $2,500 cash bond and an initial court date of April 17.
