No injuries are reported after a semitruck overturned and closed a portion of the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.
The Glasgow-Barren County Emergency Management reported that eastbound lane near the 8 mile marker is shut down “due to a commercial vehicle [that overturned] between the 10 and 11 mile marker around 5 a.m. on April 9. For context, exit 11 on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway lets out onto Scottsville Road.
Traffic is being “diverted off the parkway and routed onto the Outer loop,” emergency management stated.
Estimated time of clean up is two to three hours, according to Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt. He added that vehicles must exit at exit 8 if traveling eastbound on the parkway.
This story is ongoing and will be updated should more information become available.
